What is LEASH?

$LEASH is the second token in the Shiba Inu Ecosystem.

SHIB was made to have an enormous supply (1 quadrillion tokens) with half locked away, whereas the supply of Leash is only 107,647 minted tokens.

Due to the low supply of tokens minted, the demand and reward for holding Leash will lead to a meteoric rise, similar to that of SHIB.

What can you do NOW with LEASH?

Bury

One of the safest things you can do today with LEASH is to BURY it in ShibaSwap. When Buried (staked), it generates xLEASH into your wallet. 1% of all BONE Per Block (BPB) is minted and distributed to xLEASH holders, that are part of the LEASH POOL. Furthermore, 0.05% of the allocated* swap fees are distributed into Bury pools, and a part is sent to xLEASH holders, which allows the users to increase their Leash balance.

*Allocated swap fees are the fees from any token transaction within ShibaSwap excluding ETH, WBTC, DAI, USDT, and USDC.

Dig

Another, but the somewhat riskier thing is to Dig it by forming liquidity pair in ShibaSwap. This will give you a chance to earn BONE's. The liquidity pair is part of the liquidity pool. A liquidity pool is a collection of funds locked in a smart contract. Liquidity pools are used to facilitate decentralized trading. Users called liquidity providers (LP) add an equal value of two tokens in a pool to create a market. In exchange for providing their funds, they earn trading fees from the trades that happen in their pool, proportional to their share of the total liquidity.

As we said, providing liquidity is riskier and you should do it only if you understand the risks that go with it.

One of the biggest risks is impermanent loss. Check out this clip to learn more about this (takes 10 minutes of your life):

What future holds for LEASH?

Currently, we can rely on the Ryoshi vision of the Shiba Inu ecosystem and information provided by the team who is behind ShibaSwap development.

Ryoshi vision states that the ecosystem should have stablecoin SHI — the global exchange of value for people. The exact structure for SHI is still up for debate. The end goal is that SHI becomes a global stable currency that people across all countries are able to use as both a store of value and method of payment.

Another source of information about the future is the Shytoshi Kusama blog, where he gave an update of Shiba Inu Phase 2.

Referencing from that article the part about SHI stablecoin:

Shi- The global exchange of value: Shi pegs to $.01 and allows for “plebs” to have a fully decentralized token that can be used for exchanging goods without a concern of the change in value day to day, or even minute to minute. This is especially important when dealing with businesses that have invoices that get paid 30 days out, or when dealing with transactions aren’t instantly settleable (credit cards). We are working on finding the perfect methodology to implement this token. Ryoshi says this: “The end goal is that SHI (operating both on ETH and the Shibarium) becomes a global stable currency that plebs across all countries are able to use as both a store of value and method of payment.” In Ryoshi’s vision, “LEASH governs Shi specifically.” We are investigating how exact this portion of his vision while granting more power and utility to one of my favorite tokens, LEASH.

Where to buy LEASH?

At the moment, the best place to buy it is ShibaSwap. Go connect your MetaMask or Coinbase wallet and you have the possibility to exchange it against various cryptocurrencies that are listed in the ShibaSwap.
